Janelle Ruth Pietrzak

I am a Los Angeles-based fashion and lifestyle photographer, specializing in travel-oriented, location-based photoshoots. I hold a BFA in Photography and a BA in Film Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, along with an AA in Fashion Production from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.

My work has been featured in top-tier fashion publications, including Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Vogue. I’ve collaborated with esteemed brands such as Adriana Degreas, Cynthia Rowley, Agua Bendita, Monica Hansen Beachwear, Aviator Nation, Tiare Hawaii, Rey Swimwear, and Visual Mood.

Originally from Aspen, Colorado, I grew up ski-racing and riding English showjumping horses. My love for travel has taken me to over 30 countries, with time spent living in Nepal, Mexico, and Italy. When I'm not behind the camera, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, riding horses, and learning Spanish and Italian.
